Canada A Diverse Nation

Hi!

Today I am going to be telling you why Canada is a diverse nation.

Canada is a very interesting and diverse place. There are 2 official languages, which are French and English. There are 38 million people who currently live in Canada, However, lots of people that live outside of Canada, love to travel around Canada. In Canada there’s lots of water, snow, wildlife, beaches, mountains, and lots of nature. There are many different places that make Canada diverse.

An example is PEI (Prince Edward Island). PEI is an island that is surrounded by the Atlantic ocean. It offers lots of beaches, parks, hikes, and more! There are lots of Forests and cliffs, and people love to go fishing.

British Columbia, on the other hand, Has countless mountains, bridges, and beautiful water. Altho British Columbia has the most mountains in Canada, It also has a city in it named Vancouver, that has lots of Museums, gardens, Chinatown, concerts, and places to hike.

I think the last 2 examples I should use, HAS to be Nunavut and Ontario. Nunavut’s population is 40,673 and Ontario’s population is 15.6 million people! The two provinces have a very big difference in the amount of people for a reason. That reason is that Nunavut, compared to Ontario, has SO MUCH snow, and it’s very cold. There is only one city in Nunavut which is the capital Iqaluit.  But it’s not really a city. It doesn’t have any apartments, and there are barely any stores or restaurants. Most of the population of Nunavut are the Inuit people, but Ontario has different kinds of people and beliefs. Ontario has so so so many restaurants and stores to get food, but hunting is one of the only ways you can get food in Nunavut. In Ontario the main languages are French and English, Inuktut, English, and French are the official languages of Nunavut.

Diversity is so important because having differences makes you or things very unique, and special. Diversity allows different people with various skill sets to contribute to our community. So remember, being diverse is great!
